Comment: WOW! WOW! WOW! I always dreamed about visiting the west, but it took until I was in my 30's. Arizona is one great place to spend a vacation. My girlfriend and I visited last April and spent a couple of days in Scottsdale, (great places to eat, shop and party!) then went up to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Sedona is beautiful and one of the most unique landscapes I have ever seen. The Grand Canyon is more magnificent than any photos can show. My only regret is not having more time to spend in your wonderful state. We are planning another visit in the hopefully not to distant future. I want to see Tombstone for sure, but It would be great if anyone could offer some suggestions of places We should consider visiting.

Comment: Tombstone is fun and interesting, but a few hours is enough time here. They have lots of bars and tourist traps to spend your money on. I suggest stopping at Tombstone for a couple of hours then heading to Bisbee Az and taking the mine tour. Bisbee also has some weird and unique little shops and places to eat. You can have fun pretty cheap there. I can't remember the name of it, but we also took a tour of an underground cold war missile site south of Tucson that was very interesting.

Comment: The Grand Canyon, Sedona and the National Forests are all worth the visit!
However, I would at all costs avoid the Phoenix area. Fly into and out of Las Vegas as it is closer to Nthrn AZ than Phoenix. Phoenix is a travelers speed trap with cameras that will send you a nice little present even though all you are doing is driving along with the other thousands of AZ cars. And you have no say in the matter even with witnesses unless you are willing to travel back to Phoenix. SO STAY IN THE NORTH!
